A producer of quality compost for the mushroom industry since 1961, the Agricultural Supply Company (ASC) owns and operates a six hectare site, formerly a limestone quarry, in Sunhill, Gloucestershire.

One of only three of its kind in the UK, ASC employs 25 people and invests around £450,000 per year into the local economy. ASC's state-of-the-art 'in-vessel' composting system represents a capital investment of more than £5million and features stainless steel, computer controlled and vented tunnels – some of the most technically advanced in the composting industry and operating to rigorous performance standards.

With the aim of further improving the quality of our compost – from phase II to phase III – and modernising its current facilities, ASC is in the process of putting forward a new planning application to Cotswold District Council.  The proposed upgrade will see the company invest £4 million in new facilities, technology and environmental improvements – while creating 15 new jobs.
